I had the fortune to meet Kurt Betzel from Texas who also lives in Popa Uno here in
Bocas who's family has a long history of being Rotarians and with our shared
passion for Rotary clubs we started to think about what it could look like for
Bocas and how we could get Rotary involved down here to support the
community. So over the course of a couple years through surveys of the
community and better understanding what Bocas residents wanted and how we
could start our own club here just to really learn a lot about the process and
eventually get to the point where we were ready to launch our own club this
past February of 2019. My name is Kurt Betzel. I'm originally from Arlington, Texas.
I am now a permanent resident of the Republic of Panama. I met Emily Tallendino
and very quickly learned of our mutual love and passion for Rotary
international. We both knew that for this community to progress it could with the
presence of rotary which we learned after the fact that they've been trying
to do that for about 15 years now and this time was now is the time.

Me llamo Kurt Betzel.
Conocí a Emily Tallendino
y enseguida descubrimos nuestro amor y nuestra pasión compartidos por Rotary
International.
