00:00:00.000 --> 00:00:05.980
Last year in Panama, I was a dental assistant and I also interacted with the kids

2
00:00:05.980 --> 00:00:06.320
and they

3
00:00:06.320 --> 00:00:10.760
just kind of helped out. They had like a bunch of different like interactive

4
00:00:10.760 --> 00:00:13.260
activities and

5
00:00:13.260 --> 00:00:16.700
I kind of helped out with that. There's this girl, she looked about to be about

6
00:00:16.700 --> 00:00:17.500
eight years old

7
00:00:17.500 --> 00:00:21.260
and her name was Mooshmila and I obviously wanted to take her home in my suitcase.

8
00:00:21.700 --> 00:00:22.220
She was

9
00:00:22.220 --> 00:00:28.080
the cutest little thing and she was so sweet and she she was honestly my favorite.

10
00:00:28.340 --> 00:00:28.580
She was

11
00:00:28.580 --> 00:00:34.500
right by my side and she never left ever so yeah honestly I

12
00:00:34.500 --> 00:00:35.060
don't think any

13
00:00:35.060 --> 00:00:39.660
stories could have prepared me for the first night there cuz I was absolutely so

14
00:00:39.660 --> 00:00:45.100
scared but because seriously I mean you're just you're sitting on a cot and

15
00:00:45.100 --> 00:00:49.200
then you've got the only thing that's protecting you from the outside is this

16
00:00:49.200 --> 00:00:54.230
mosquito net that's what it is and that's the only thing that's like keeping

17
00:00:54.230 --> 00:00:59.010
getting you away from bugs and scorpions and mosquitoes.

18
00:00:59.730 --> 00:01:05.390
It was kind of a realization as a teenager to go there and then just like

19
00:01:05.740 --> 00:01:06.340
you were doing

20
00:01:06.340 --> 00:01:12.280
something outside of yourself and I think a lot

21
00:01:12.280 --> 00:01:14.960
of teenagers, they need to like experience

22
00:01:14.960 --> 00:01:15.840
something like that.

23
00:01:15.960 --> 00:01:20.080
Go and do something not for yourself but for someone else and you have no benefit

24
00:01:20.080 --> 00:01:20.380
for

25
00:01:20.380 --> 00:01:25.780
It was such an eye-opener because you know up here it was you know you're very like

26
00:01:25.780 --> 00:01:31.020
it's all about me you know my nails and just like you know all that but down there

27
00:01:31.020 --> 00:01:31.920
they have

28
00:01:31.920 --> 00:01:37.590
nothing we're so thankful and they are it is it was so neat

29
00:01:37.590 --> 00:01:39.510
it was like whatever they had

30
00:01:39.510 --> 00:01:44.390
they were thankful for but you know up here we are so spoiled and it was just

31
00:01:44.390 --> 00:01:45.110
really cool to see

32
00:01:45.110 --> 00:01:46.550
that and distinguish between the two.
