Racheal: coming to Panama to serve Automatic audio transcript; may contain errors. [0:00] My name is Jamie Kuzia, and this is Rachel. She's six months old. [0:04] I live in Panama at Agua Dulce in one of the guest rooms with my husband and Rachel. [0:14] We've been here for almost a year. [0:16] Well, I think that the needs in this community would be just a real awareness of the ways [0:23] of the Lord and what is truth and how to align their lives with truth. [0:28] because I think that some of the issues stem from a lack of knowledge of who their creator [0:33] is and also a lack of alignment with his will and his ways. [0:36] So I think that, yeah, just some biblical teaching about basic truths about, yeah, the gospel [0:44] as well as how we're supposed to live the practicalities of that I think would make [0:48] a massive impact on people's lives and the quality of their life. [0:52] I think that that could be accomplished by empowering some of the locals and really [0:58] investing in a couple key local members like Simone and Amalia here for [1:03] instance really empowering them to go and reach their own community members [1:06] and equipping them with the skills necessary to do that they're able to [1:11] relate on more of a cultural level than we could as gringos like I know [1:16] that they supply Bibles, for instance. [1:19] And then Simone and Amalia go and share with their families [1:23] and they've helped equip Simone with the ability [1:27] to drill for water and some of those practical needs. [1:32] They've helped them with that as well. [1:34] Just a really great group of people that came to serve [1:38] and they've been going, going, going non-stop [1:41] since they arrived nine days ago. [1:44] And yeah, just with a really open heart to love and serve in any capacity while they've been here.
