[0:04] I am now a permanent resident of the Republic of Panama. [0:08] I met Emily Tallendino and very quickly learned of our mutual love and passion for Rotary International. [0:18] We both knew that for this community to progress, it could with the presence of Rotary. [0:30] My name is Alejandro Jonah. I grew up right here on this island and today I have the opportunity [0:36] to be part of the new rotary club that we are opening here in Boca del Toro. [0:43] Having clean drinking water is one of the most important things we can think about when we [0:50] want to grow healthy and strong. I mean it's not a place where you can just simply open the [0:56] facet you know and drink fresh water that is healthy. You would walk around the [1:02] community and you would see the children with their big tummy you know and not [1:10] full of energy as children usually are and well once there was improvement in [1:17] their health and once they got fresh and clean water to drink I mean you could [1:23] and see the difference immediately.
